The report includes test cases based on your currently applied filters. If no filters are applied, all test cases in the project will be included. You can also select specific test cases using checkboxes for a targeted report.

Choosing report columns

You can choose between two column options:

  • Visible columns only — generates a concise report with only the columns currently displayed on your grid

  • All columns — generates a comprehensive report including all fields and custom fields

Tip: Column visibility can be managed using the "Columns panel" on the grid.

Steps and Expected Results columns are always included in the report regardless of your column selection.

Report ordering

If you have sorted test cases on one or more columns, the report will preserve that sort order.

Formatting options

You can generate reports with or without HTML tags in text fields:

  • With HTML tags — preserves rich text formatting (bold, lists, links, images) in steps and expected results. Recommended for documentation purposes.

  • Without HTML tags — plain text output, useful for importing into other tools.

HTML tag options for test case reports in TestCollab

In the CSV report, each test case step and its corresponding expected result appears on a separate row. The first step shares the row with the test case metadata (title, description, priority, test suite).

Tip: To include all data (including custom fields), use "Export all columns". To retain formatting in steps and expected results, keep the HTML tags option selected.

Note: Only users with the appropriate permissions can generate test case reports.
