How QA Copilot generates test cases?
QA Copilot supports multiple input types:
Requirement text
Images (screenshots) and PDF documents
When you provide your input or upload your source, QA Copilot generates proposed test cases that you can review before adding them to your project.
Project description (optional)
You can optionally add a project description to give QA Copilot more context before generating test cases. This helps improve the relevance and accuracy of the generated test cases.
You can add the project description in either of the following ways:
While creating a new project
Enter the description during the project setup process.While generating test cases with QA Copilot
Add the project description when using the “Create test cases with QA Copilot” option from the test case management page.
QA Copilot gives you two ways to generate test cases, depending on the type of input you have.
Generate from app screenshots
Use this option when you have visual references of the application.
Upload screenshots or images, or
Upload a PDF document containing screenshots
Maximum file size: 5 MB
Generate from requirements or specifications
Use this option when you have written requirements or functional specifications.
Paste requirement text directly, or
Upload a PDF containing requirements
QA Copilot analyzes the content and proposes relevant test cases based on the provided information, and generates test cases.
Reviewing proposed test cases list
All generated test cases appear separately on Proposals page that has three tabs:
Pending – Proposed test cases generated by QA Copilot and waiting for a review
Accepted – Proposals that you have approved, they are also added as test cases
Rejected – Proposals you chose not to use
While reviewing the proposed test cases, you can see the following details for each test case:
Title
Description
Complexity
Priority
Steps count
Options to edit the proposed test case
Accept, or reject the test case
Expand and review details
Click the arrow icon next to a test case to expand it. This allows you to:
View all test steps
See the source (screenshot or requirement) used to generate the test case
Edit before accepting
Before accepting a test case, you can edit:
The title
The description
The test steps
This ensures the final test cases match your project’s standards and testing needs.
Bulk actions
You can select more than one proposed test cases to accept or reject them in bulk.
Once accepted, the test cases are added to your project.
